Using AI, large volumes of medical data can be analysed efficiently, patterns recognised and more precise diagnoses made. This leads to improved patient care and optimised treatment strategies. At the same time, integrating AI systems brings ethical, data protection and regulatory challenges. In non-invasive diagnostics in particular, AI-supported algorithms can help to identify complex relationships and point to health risks at an early stage. Responsible implementation that takes account of medical approval requirements and data protection rules is decisive for the long-term success of these technologies.
