Monitor

Transform your practice and improve your patient care with our multifunctional monitor.

Scientifically grounded

The underlying technologies

With the Combyn BioCore Monitor, doctors are able to obtain a comprehensive picture of a patient’s state of health in real time, thanks to state-of-the-art methods. Indications of anomalies such as heart failure, aortic stiffness and peripheral arterial disease (PAD) can be recorded. By simultaneously measuring impedance spectroscopy and plethysmography in six body segments, the system provides valuable insights into the general condition of the cardiovascular system.

In addition, fluid balance (total body water, overhydration, ECF/ICF), muscle mass (including sarcopenia detection) and fat mass are measured. Haemodynamic monitoring also makes it possible to analyse the response of the autonomic nervous system, for example during tilt-table examinations.

All of the examinations listed are carried out in the Combyn BioCore Monitor simultaneously with the 12-lead ECG – saving both cost and time. Within the five minutes of the ECG recording it delivers a wide range of information that is of interest to every general practitioner, internist and neurologist, as well as to specialists in cardiology, angiology, nephrology, endocrinology, oncology and hepatology. The Combyn BioCore Monitor can also be used for tilt-table examinations in the assessment of syncope. It provides a continuous ECG recording and a quasi-continuous blood pressure recording with assessment of the autonomic nervous system.

for the medicine
oftomorrow

The diagnostic monitor of the future combines the routine 12-lead ECG with the measurement of numerous physiological and pathophysiological parameters – with no additional time or staff required.

The examination yields health data on:

Autonomic nervous system

  • Haemodynamic monitoring (e.g. with a tilt table)
  • Sympathetic activity
  • Parasympathetic activity (vagus)

Heart

  • Screening for chronic heart failure
  • Prediction of the hormone BNP
  • Estimation of cardiac output
  • 12-lead ECG

Circulation

  • Prediction of physical performance
  • Blood pressure measurement (oscillometric)
  • Pulse wave velocity
  • Vascular stiffness
  • Screening for peripheral arterial disease (PAD)

Fluid balance

  • Total body water (TBW)
  • Overhydration
  • Intracellular water (ICF)
  • Extracellular water (ECF)
  • Detection of oedema

Muscle and body fat

  • Appendicular muscle mass
  • Detection of sarcopenia
  • Determination of “dry” muscle mass (taking ECF into account and correcting for it)
  • Body fat
  • Abdominal fat

Risk assessments

  • Stroke
  • Osteoporosis
  • Diabetes

Savings

Saving resources with the Combyn BioCore Monitor

The BioCore Monitor delivers information that could otherwise only be obtained with the following devices:

  • High-end ECG device with cardiac floating, ECG analysis, suitable for ergometry
  • Segmental impedance spectroscopy
  • Impedance plethysmography device
  • Impedance cardiography device
  • Pulse wave analysis with pulse transit time
  • Whole-body DXA

All measurements at a fraction of the equipment cost previously required – and in just five minutes. This allows you to:

  • save up to 75 % of previous equipment costs
  • reduce the time required by up to 97 %

Scientific report

Clearly presented data to support decisions on further medical examinations

The routine 12-lead ECG is combined, at no extra effort, with a “Scientific Report” summarising the most important additional clinical information. All results are presented clearly in text and graphical form. This makes the synchronised data easier for doctors to evaluate and compare, and offers valuable, holistic insights. The report is designed so that potential problem areas are immediately recognisable – with no additional time or special training required.
